To keep an open mind about it, I suppose that some people feel things in different ways, the way some might perceive human touch to be horrific burning sensation like being set on fire, while others might just feel a happy, stimulating jolt from a snake bite.
Perhaps there are people whose sense of basic dignity and priority is such that, for their experiences, this sort of violation of trust and privacy really is similar to the subjective experience of being raped.
