Take homemade bread, slice it neither too thick nor too thin, ditto the cheese* and layer. Bite in boldly and wash it down with hot tea from your King-Seely thermos. Another good one is Boston brown bread/black rye spread with cream cheese or soft goat cheese.
Maybe this country needs a real, for-true Depression to snap people out of general whininess.
