As a Christian, I think you have a good point about "in God we trust" on money. I haven't thought it through thoroughly, so I don't know exactly how I evaluate it; and it's not my country, so my position on whether it's defensible or not doesn't hold much weight. But the points you raise are definitely things I agree are/should be at least concerns from a Christian point of view.
