ARGH!

Okay, listen.

A Moby Wrap is a specific brand of wrap that is stretchy and somewhat mainstreamish.

A wrap is a piece of cloth that can be stretchy or not, and that is somewhat less mainstreamish than the Moby.

If you make it yourself, it can't be a Moby Wrap. It's just a wrap. A normal, every, NON-BRAND NAME wrap.

Sheesh.

I won't deny that this one is a particularly bizarre and redundant instance of genericization... but what you're saying is essentially the same thing that Xerox®, STYROFOAM®™, Band-Aid®, Sellotape®, Q-Tips® and Popsicle® argued.
