That article about pressure in Kindergarten interviews the principal and parents at a school in Winston-Salem NC. It stopped me cold so I could call my sister and confirm: My brother-in-law teaches at that middle school. He actually knows some of those kids and tells me that they are now in the oddly-acronymized HAG (Highly Academically Gifted) program in his district.
